We custom-made this hanging butterfly swag lamp from our super-secret and dwindling cache of rare, original vintage old-stock light diffusion laminate from the 1950s.
The pendant shade is 13″ diameter x 18″ tall, and is configured with a chain and cord/socket set.
The laminate material contains actual dried butterfly wings and press and dried botanicals. The material was called “Mariposa,” and manufactured by long-gone Polyplastex of Chico, CA. We stumbled upon the cache many years ago. We’ve horded it greedily, and only haul it our for special projects, lunar eclipses, and coronations.
